Piorities. & Toast.
Why, yes, I do still exist! But I’ve done a lot of thinking lately, especially about the content I share on this site. When I started writing, it was mostly day-to-day happenings, with lots of life details. But I’ve grown a bit wary of sharing so many life details.
breakfast toast – 1/2 avo, 1/2 sun butter. cara-cara orange.
I’m in class or doing other work most of the day, and the last thing I want to do is go home and write about my day. No. I want to curl up on the couch with a cup of tea and relax a bit.
favorite toast – vegan kale pesto and roasted sunchokes. Amazing.
The content on this blog will most likely be limited favorite meals, restaurants, recipes, and a few life things here and there. Oh, and travels too, but there aren’t a ton of those in the near future.
breakfast toast - homemade vegan nutella, blood orange
While I did really love writing personal posts, I just haven’t been feeling like sharing much lately. And when I don’t feel like sharing anything of note, I generally don’t write at all. I can’t do that, I can’t write half-truths.
hummus and pickles on toast. with smoked paprika.
I still eat, I still work out, I live. Yes, I still have things I would love to share about my favorite meals. Yes, there are tons of delicious eats I have made and would love to post recipes of – but I have to direct my energy where it is most needed. And now that is school and planning my life/future. [[you can probably tell by the photos in the post that I've eaten a lot of toast. it's really the best lazy-girl meal]]
must-repeat toast – smokey sardine salad with melted goat cheese and chipotle Cholula.
I know this blog content has been seriously suffering this year, but frankly, there are more important things in my life right now. I DO want to continue posting here, as I love having this space to share some thoughts and photos. And for any readers or blog friends who really want to know what I’m up to, feel free to send me a personal email!
I don’t want to be a total stranger. I’m still reading tons of blogs every day – they make me happy. But comments and posts are not a priority. Life is.
I still love food. I still love to talk and write about food. Eventually, more of my life happenings will show up on the blog.
Oh, and toast.
Do you share personal details on your blog?

Lately my blog posts are just diary/accountability posts. Not the best high quality content, but it keeps me on track and keeps me honest.
holy crap, that hummus/pickle sandwich is calling my name right now!

Peanut butter on toast. Love it.
Funny, since I recently did the exact opposite…I’m posting MORE about my life and less about food now and I really love it. Now if I could just get away from the “guilt” I feel for not participating in blogger link ups. I used to only do WIAW and then it became more and more…that’s when I felt that “MY” voice was being taken away from me…like I couldn’t just write about whatever, it had to be for scheduled link up and it had to stick to the topic for the week. Craziness…pure craziness I tell you!

Girl, the only way to get away from the guilt is to focus on YOU! I got news for ya – I highly doubt anyone else will care if you decide not to do a link up post. Because eventually your posts will be mechanical, and start to feel like work. Write for YOU. Readers will follow.
