So I’ve seen the Foodie Pen Pals program floating around the blog world for quite a while. Since I finally have a permanent address, I decided to participate for the month of September.
The foodie pen pals program was created by the lovely Lindsay (whose blog I love to read), and is an awesome way to try new goodies, and treat yourself to a little something each month. [[check out her site to learn more]]
One nice thing about the program is that you can tell your pen pal if you have any dietary preferences or restrictions, to make sure you get snacks that you can and are willing to eat. I requested only things I would buy on my own – so basically: dairy free, no highly processed anything (especially wheat and sugar), no added sugar, no ingredients I couldn’t pronounce.
I received a box of fabulous goodies from Lynna!
Dry roasted edamame, (naturally sweet) plantain chips, a raw pistachio bar, unsweetened baking chocolate (LOVE), an all-natural orange satsuma soap, and a cute little handwritten card.
…and the snacks are pretty much gone now 😀
I had never bought plantain chips before, so these were new to me – and I loved them! Naturally sweet, crunchy and delicious. Edamame is one of my favorite things to snack on, roasted or just boiled/steamed. The pistachio bar reminded me of a larabar, and it’s hard to go wrong there. Plus, who wouldn’t smile if you got this little card?
