WIAW – Fitness Plan!

First things first:  I was very nervous about talking about my health story, but it’s really nice to know I’m not the only one in that boat!  If you have any similar stories to share, or advice for me, I’d love to hear it.

More important things: Happy Birthday, America! Anyone have any fun plans for the day?  My day will include a picnic in the park then a rooftop shindig at a friend’s place.

Other important things: Food!  What I Ate Wednesday!  There’s actually a lot of things I could say about this day of eating, but I don’t really feel like writing for a million years, so I’m just going to show, and not really tell.

Iced coffee from Whole Foods.  With a mix of almond and soy milk – holy yum!

 My bosses bought everyone lunch!  Veggie sandwich on seeded rye with a million things.

Enter: WAY too many snacks – protein bar, apple, nuts, and maybe a few other things.  This is a topic for another time.

 Lunch provided, my packed lunch became dinner! Yay for less kitchen time.  Homemade summer rolls.

With peanut sauce.  I would normally make my own, but it was cheaper to just buy a bottle than to buy all the ingredients necessary to make it.

Smoky salad with steamed kale, cucumber, tomato, chopped basil, ACV, S&P, smoked paprika and a drizzle of coconut oil.

Enter: square of dark chocolate, tea, frozen banana slices.

I love that this month’s WIAW theme is…Fitness!  I definitely tend to ramble about food, and you’d never know that I seriously am passionate about fitness!  There are a lot of things I could talk about on this front, but instead I’m just going to say one little thing.

Yes, that’s right – I signed up for Tina’s online bootcamp! Why? A number of reasons.  For one, I’m gym-less this summer, and I have a harder time getting motivated to work out when I can’t just “stop by the gym and go from there”.  Two, I want a break from planning my own workouts.  While I truly love taking a bit of time each night to plan the next day’s workout, it is one more thing on my mind – and I could use a little break.

I’m excited to have someone else “work me out”!

    Do you have that breakfast often. Gosh, it looks delicious. I would just substitute the pb with almons butter. And I love your comment “enter snacks here.” I am a grazer through and through. Big issues when trying to stay healthy!

      I love them! I get mine at whole foods, but if you don’t have a WF, then I know that most asian markets have them. If not, you could always talk to your local health food store and ask them to special order them for you.
