I’m alive and well! I’ve been in Paris since Saturday night, and like the post title says (for those who don’t speak french) – I have fallen in love. With the city, of course.
Needless to say, healthy living has almost gone out the window. Remember when I said I was going to try? Yeah, about that… no workouts, sugar and bread all the time, actually going a bit overboard. I can’t say it’s been working out fantastically, but I have thoroughly enjoyed all the food I have eaten. Now that I’ve pretty much tried all the essential things, I’m getting a bit more into the groove – but more on that later.
I’ve seen some pretty amazing things, to say the least. And, I’ve already taken about 800something photos. For starters, here are some highlights.
The ‘invisible pyramids’ at the Louvre.
Les Jardin des Tuileries – Tuileries gardens.
Oscar Wilde’s grave site at Père Lachaise cemetery.
Le moulin rouge.
Basilica de Sacre Coeur
The palace at Versailles
The gardens at Versailles
La Tour Eiffel – at night!
It sparkles on the hour.
Took a boat ride on the gorgeous Seine.
Anyone seen Inception? Recognize that bridge?
The Musée d’Orsay
The Mona Lisa – and the Musée du Louvre – at night! I absolutely loved it there at night.
Avenue de Champs-Elysées
Arc de Triomphe
… and about ten thousand other things. I have two more days here, and a few more things on my list to see. Places to visit, food to eat, and way too much money to spend on fabulous things (not really, but window shopping will have to do).
Ever been to Paris?
