Brain Dump

There are days when I have a lot to share on here – and there are days where I just don’t.  While I’d love to show some fantastic pictures of Stockholm, and what I’ve been up to, at the moment I just don’t have any.

Okay, I lied, there’s one just because.  Just a heads up this is not at all supposed to be a pessimistic post, just saying a few things that are on my mind.  Overall I’m doing pretty well  :-)

This week was a bit tougher, all things seem to crack down on me all at once!  I just had my first exam of the semester, and I think it went well!  There are a ton of other things I have to get done before I travel again next week – but I’m pushing through, and I know I’ll get everything done that I need to.  Of course in the moment it’s always stressful.  It’s not easy to be halfway around the world from the people you can usually vent to, you have to resort to things like Skype and email.

The up-side is that I’m finally feeling comfortable around my new friends here.  Which is a huge step for me!  I’m still working on how to go out and have a good time with them without drinking every time or spending a ton of money on fancy clubs – but for now I’m happy to have people to be with.  That is more than I can say for a few years ago!

Anyways, sorry for the brain-dump post, but I had to get this out there somehow.  Also, I just read this fantastic LifeHacker article about starting your day as a producer as opposed to a consumer.  I’m giving it a try, I’ll let you know how it goes!

Also, the snow here is practically gone! Remember this?

Now it’s all melt-y mush.  Hoping it dries out and stays that way – because I have a feeling it’s beautiful here in spring!

No question – anything you feel like sharing?

I love that article! Thank you for sharing it with us :)
You are so lucky to be studying in Stockholm. Sweden is most amazing. If I may ask, what are you studying?
Good luck with the studies! :)

Thanks, Tessa! Yes, I did the design myself – took a long time for something so simple, haha. And yes – it’s nice having the blog as an outlet.

First, great new look for the blog!

That article you like to is really awesome, I like the idea of an active, thoughtful start to the day as opposed to passively taking in info. I think I’ll join you on trying out starting as a producer not a consumer!
