I love this town. If/when the day comes when I no longer get to take my yearly ski trip to Sun Valley, I’ll probably cry for hours. Well, maybe I’m exaggerating just a bit.
But seriously, who wouldn’t love this?
View of the valley from the chairlift. This was three or four days ago, before we got 10 inches of snow. Still beautiful.
Happy on skis!
The best coffee shop in town. Seriously, if anyone ever finds themselves in eastern Idaho, go here. The owner is Californian, and atmosphere of this shop certainly reflects it. They use fair trade, organic coffee and have the most amazing mexican hot chocolate. They also have soy milk and almond milk!!
But, the whipped cream is the best thing there. Easily the best I’ve ever had. Ever. The whole family agrees Love this après-ski treat!
After a shorter day of skiing I happily step out of these guys, and head over to the heated outdoor pool. I’ll have a picture later. It’s fantastic. Or if I still have some energy left, I strap on these:
Jumping at the chance to put them to use!
Skate- break, for resurfacing the ice.
The sister and I. What can I say, we like crazy leggings!
Me and the sister, skate-break!
View of the ski mountain from our condo. I can’t get enough of this.
This is a food blog, right? A slightly indulgent lunch for me, but I was a hungry beast all day, so I rolled with it – no regrets! A delicious turkey pot pie with a side of grilled veggies. Super hearty, so much yum.
More coffee as snacks! I’m totally okay with replacing my afternoon snack with something like a soy dark chocolate orange mocha from Tully’s. There are worse things I could be consuming.
We finally got snow! I love winter. I know, I’m weird, but I’ll take a snowy ski vacation over a week at the beach any day. Maybe that’s why I’m so pale all year round.
